+**Prague Blockchain Week 2023** (PBW23) is a _decentralized conference_ and gathering of all people interested in cryptocurrencies and related topics. It consists of many **independent events** across Jun 2 - 11, including conferences, hackathons, workshops, community meetups, as well as various parties and happy hours.&#x20;
+
+These events will focus on a variety of different cryptocurrency ecosystems and topics such as hard money, payments, DeFi, Web3, DAOs, CryptoEconomics, NFTs, DeSci, mining, and many more.
+
+It is a chain agnostic and neutral community-led initiative. Our goal is not to promote one single blockchain, but rather to stimulate discussion between proponents of different solutions. The common theme is financial freedom, decentralization and privacy.

+
+We are an open conference that offers a variety of independently hosted events. Attendees have the freedom to choose which events they would like to participate in, and can plan their own attendance and travel arrangements. There is no obligation to attend any specific events, so attendees have the flexibility to create their own conference experience.
+

+
+PBW is a [decentralized conference](../faq.md#what-is-decentralized-conference), so we welcome any team or individual to host their own event. It can be a conference, hackathon, workshop, meetup, cinema screening, vernissage, party, social gathering or something else - it's up to you! The only condition is that it must be related to cryptocurrency topics.
+

+## How to host an event
+
+Please read the supporting docs before submitting your Github PR.
+
+1. **What**: [Identify the topic](define-your-event.md) you are interested in.
+2. **Where**: Choose a suitable venue. See the list of [recommended venues](venue-options.md).
+3. **Create**: [List your event](list-your-event.md) to the website schedule by following the README instructions.
+   1. Fill out the event template as much as you can, and include multiple venues if you’re not sure. The PBW team will assist you in the next steps.
+4. **Collaborate**: Join our groups and [communicate & collaborate](collaborate.md) with other organizers. Take advantage of our [PBW23 Event+](eventplus.md) program.
+5. **Share**: Start promoting your event as soon as you have a website or profile and registration available. It's call a [marketing](marketing.md).
+6. **Plan:** Finalize the details and logistics of your event before, during, and after.

+
+Here are some tactics to spread the word and boost registration.
+
+## Brand your PBW23 event
+
+Get creative with your event name. This helps set the tone prior to anyone setting foot in the venue. If you get this right from the start, every other marketing tactic will be much easier
+
+## Social Media
+
+Think about where your target audience lives online (it’s most likely Twitter and Discord) and focus your efforts on those channels.
+
+### Owned Content Plan
+
+Aim to announce on your owned social media channels about one month prior to your event date. Follow this announcement up with weekly reminders to RSVP. You should increase the cadence of your posts during the week prior to the event if you haven’t hit your attendee goals yet.
+
+Remember to mix your content up. Can you tweet out a relevant quote from an event speaker? Is there a partner involved that you can host a giveaway with? Just remember to always include an RSVP link with all pre-event posts.
+
+### Live Audio Social
+
+Twitter Spaces, Discord Stages and Clubhouses can be an effective marketing tactic if you have partners or opinion leaders (with high follower counts) involved that will draw listeners to your live audio session to discuss the event prior to launching.
+
+### Partner Posts
+
+If you have partners and brands in the space or speakers involved in your event, make sure you send them materials and ask them to post.
+
+## Email
+
+### Owned email list
+
+If you have an internal user email list — and you should! — send a blast to inform your community of the upcoming event. It’s a good idea to open up the RSVP list or ticket sales to your community members first during an “Early Access” campaign. This will give your campaign an initial boost and reward your most loyal users.
+
+### Partner email lists
+
+If your event is attached to a conference, contact a rep to see if your event can be included in a blast to conference attendees. If that’s not an option, consider a sponsored listing in an events newsletters targeted to the city you’re hosting in.
+
+### Guest list
+
+If you are using an RSVP system to record attendees, make sure to capture emails as users respond. Use this list to send pre-event communications with need to know information, content that will generate hype and a reminder email on the day of the event.
+
+## Keep the momentum going
+
+Don’t stop when PBW23 ends. Keep your community connected and excited for future events with a few simple wrap-up tasks.
+
+### Email
+
+If you want to see an insanely high email open rate, send a blast to event attendees with photos from your experience. Everyone is going to want to scan for themselves in the recap. Add a CTA to visit your website or download your app while you’re at it!
+
+### Social
+

+## What is Prague Blockchain Week?
+
+Prague Blockchain Week is a _decentralized conference_ and gathering of all people interested in cryptocurrencies and related topics. It consists of many **independent events** across Jun 2 - 11, including conferences, hackathons, workshops, community meetups, as well as various parties and happy hours. 
+
+These events will focus on a variety of different cryptocurrency ecosystems and topics such as hard money, payments, DeFi, Web3, DAOs, CryptoEconomics, NFTs, DeSci, mining, and many more.
+
+## What is decentralized conference?
+
+A decentralized conference is a series of related events happening around the same place and time, put on by a community. The goal is to enable people and groups to host their own events, loosely coordinating with the rest of the community.
+
+## Who is this week for?
+
+Our week is for anyone interested in cryptocurrencies, whether they are professionals, developers, or just enthusiasts. Many of these events are open to all interested individuals and collaborators. Please see the schedule and register to participate. We look forward to your presence and hope to see you there!

+PBW23 is an _open_, _independent, non-profit_ initiative that seeks to unite and assist all cryptocurrency related events taking place in Prague in early June 2023.

+The aim of this initiative is to create a collaborative space where individual organisers can exchange knowledge, experience, contacts and other necessary things to make their event the best it can be. Together, our individual topics and reach can be stronger.

+Legal representation for the PBW23 initiative is being handled by the non-profit and independent [UTXO Foundation z.s.](https://utxo.foundation/), a Czech officially registered collective that supports local cryptocurrency events.
